Weingut Keller is a family business in the German wine region of Rheinhessen, located in Flörsheim-Dalsheim. It was founded in 1789 when the Keller family emigrated from Switzerland to the current location. The Hubacker vineyards, already described in 1490, are Keller's very first vineyard holdings. Klaus Keller and his son Klaus-Peter own 19.5 hectares of vineyards, of which 8 hectares have the Erste Lage (VDP-Grosse Lage) qualification. Klaus-Peter and Julia Keller are both qualified oenologists and have formed a great winemaking team since 2001.
Delicious with: Pâté, duck or goose liver, cheese, not-too-sweet desserts.
Fun fact: The area where Keller is located is called Hügelland (hill country). The vineyards are located around the municipalities of Flörsheim-Dalsheim and Westhofen, with the top vineyards being Morstein, Kirchspiel, Absterde, Pettenthal and Hubacker.
