Red and white Christmas hamper

Still doubting between red or white for the Christmas table? Why not both? At Lof, we have now put together a Christmas gift set with two generous wines. One white and one red.

White: Domaine Manciat-Poncet 'Mâcon-Charnay Les Chênes' 2023
This Chardonnay comes from vines around the village of Charnay in the Mâconnais, where Jean Manciat harvests by hand, a rarity in the region. You taste ripe green apple with a hint of citrus, carried by crisp acidity and a beautiful mineral core. An excellent, affordable white Burgundy that pairs well with poultry, shellfish, and crustaceans.

Red: Le Devay 'Au Fil du Rhône' Syrah 2024
Before Jean-Charles Fournet became a winemaker, he was a radiologist — and he now brings that precision into the vineyard, where he grows Syrah near Condrieu with almost surgical dedication. The result is a dark, smoky Syrah with pepper, blackberries, and a salty kick, firm but never heavy. Delicious with spit-roasted lamb, roasted vegetables, or try serving it with a spicy bouillabaisse.
