In 2006, Elisabeth Pichler from Wachau and Erich Krutzler from Burgenland established their own winery in Wachau. Both come from renowned and recognized wine producers. Elisabeth Pichler is the daughter of Franz X. Pichler, one of Austria's most renowned winemakers of all time. Erich and Elisabeth jointly manage 7-8 hectares of vineyards with Riesling and Grüner Veltliner vines. For a few years now, they have been experimenting with biodynamic viticulture.
Description: Rich, concentrated wine, clean and very pure. Soft white fruit, peach and grapefruit, salty and spicy with fine acidity.
Pairs well with: Asian food, grilled chicken, lobster and salads.
Fun fact: Pichler-Krutzler Weingut makes wines from carefully hand-picked grapes, often with 2-3 picking rounds per vineyard.
