Olivier is originally French and, after internships at Domaine Leroy (Burgundy) and Elian de Ross (Marmande), he came into contact with Telmo Rodriguez. He was offered an internship there. Telmo is considered one of Spain's best winemakers, and his family owns the beautiful Remulluri estate in Rioja. Furthermore, with his own company, he is responsible for some incredibly beautiful wines from other parts of Spain, where he works closely with local winemakers. From 2006, Olivier began making his first wine. He leases several plots of exceptional quality in Rioja Alavesa and carefully grows his business to its current 11 hectares.
Description: Aged for 12 months in used oak barrels, soft tannins, tension, dark fruit, medium-bodied.
Pairs well with: Meat dishes with roasted potatoes.
Fun fact: Olivier follows Telmo's idea and abandons the classic aging system, vinifying his wines according to the style of the vineyard/village, much like in French Burgundy. This is where Olivier partly learned his craft.
