The winery was founded in the 1960s by Roger Marès and is located in Costières de Nîmes, south of the Rhône Valley. It spans 45 hectares north of the Camargue, where the vines are planted at an altitude of 70 meters. Although the estate has long been managed with respect for nature and soil, Cyril Marès (son of Roger) applied for organic farming certification in 2017. After three years, it is now official.
Description: Ripe red forest fruits, spicy with a slight hint of pepper, full-bodied, juicy, and fine soft acidity. Perfect for summer.
Pairs well with: Aperitif, grilled fish, salads, chicken.
Fun fact: The beautiful, somewhat dark, pink color in the wine comes from pressing the skins along with the juice. This does not mean the wine is sweet.
