The winery was founded in the 1960s by Roger Marès and is located in Costières de Nîmes, south of the Rhône Valley. It spans 45 hectares north of the Camargue, where the vines are planted at an altitude of 70 meters. Although the estate has long been managed with respect for nature and the soil, Cyril Marès (Roger's son) applied for organic farming certification in 2017. After three years, it is now official.
Description: Aged for 5 months in old wood, roasted and nutty aromas, soft creamy mouthfeel with white flowers and peach.
Pairs well with: Baked salmon or cauliflower with dill, Asian but not too spicy, roast chicken.
Fun fact: The Marès family has been making wine at Mas des Bressades for 6 generations, and the estate is now one of the most reputable wineries south of the Rhône Valley.
