Mr. Marinot was an 'ancien brande vignier'; in his younger years, he travelled through the Côte Chalonnais with his 'alambic' to distill marc de Bourgogne for winegrowers. In doing so, he got to know the region like no other and built relationships for his later career as a merchant. Now, his son Jacques is following in his footsteps. In the Burgundy region from Mercurey to Santenay, he buys wine from predominantly small farmers, made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, which he then blends. Characteristic of his selection of wines is a fruity and fresh character in an accessible style. These are smooth wines with purity and very good value for money.
Description: Elegant, soft finish, fresh, accessible, and smooth.
Pairs well with: Fresh salads, e.g., lots of vegetables and fish, as an aperitif.
Fun fact: Made especially for De Vierheemskinderen. An import company from Friesland from which we source a lot of wine.
