Marco lives in the beautiful, once temple-rich, over 2000-year-old town of Cori, 50 km southeast of Rome. He converted the generations-old winery (9 ha then) to organic farming in 1986, expanding it over the years to 60 hectares. Lots of volcanic soil here, a moderate climate, and an altitude of 200-450m. Elegant, full-bodied, aromatic white wines.
Description: Soft notes of citrus, blossom, and honey. Round, juicy, and undulating.
Pairs well with: Fish and vegetarian appetizers, salads such as a Caesar salad.
Fun fact: The authentic local grape variety Bellone grows on volcanic soil with a calcareous top layer along the Mediterranean coast.
