Marco lives in the beautiful, once temple-rich, more than 2000-year-old Cori, 50 km southeast of Rome. In 1986, he converted the generations-old vineyard (9 ha then) to organic farming and expanded it over the years to 60 hectares. Lots of volcanic soil here, moderate climate, altitude 200-450m. Elegant, full-bodied, aromatic white wines.
Description: Notes of citrus, melon, almonds and acacia, soft, friendly, fine acidity and mineral salts.
Pairs well with: Baked fish, grilled chicken with a good variety of vegetables.
Fun fact: The Carpineti family has been making wine in Cori for generations. In 1986, Marco took the helm. A common thread throughout his work is respect for the authenticity of the region, the wine, and the people.
