This is a wine from the owner of Ch. Ducru Beaucaillou, Bruno Borie. This wine is an ode to his mother, Madame Eugène Borie. The grapes come from vineyards in the Haut Médoc that she brought with her when she married, as well as from a more recent acquisition of a vineyard from Mrs. Fort-Pradère. Mrs. Borie was a member of the supervisory board between 1998 and 2020 and was very discreet, preferring to stay in the background. Kind, calm, discreet, and humane were her characteristics. She was part of a long line of female owners that Ch. Ducru Beaucaillou has known. She played an essential role in the growth of the name and fame of Ch. Ducru Beaucaillou.
