The maker's story begins with Mr. Marinot, who in his younger years traveled around as a "brande vignier" with his still through the Côte Chalonnaise to distill marc de Bourgogne. Through his work, he got to know the region and the small farmers inside and out, which laid the foundation for his later career as a merchant and winemaker. Today, his son Jacques and he continue this tradition by blending wines from grapes from small farmers in Burgundy, resulting in wines that combine fruit, balance, and accessibility.
