Jean-Charles Fournet invests everything he earns as a radiologist in the hospital into his chateau just outside Condrieu. As a wine lover, he regularly hosted renowned winemakers such as Vernay, Chave, and Gangloff, who advised him to make optimal use of his terroir. With the same passionate surgical precision, one might call it neurotic, he now cultivates 7 hectares of Syrah, Viognier, and Roussanne. Aided by the famous Claude and Lydia Bourguignon, he produces brilliant, clear, pure, elegant, complex wines. Enthusiastically organic. Extremely high concentration with minimal yields.

Description: Terroir of both micaschist and calcareous clay.  Dark, smoky, peppery, spicy, juice, blackberries, saline, grit, not heavy. A lot of wine for your money.

Pairs well with: Roasted vegetables, spit-roasted lamb, and surprisingly: bouillabaisse where lobster claws have been used in the sauce.

Fun fact: Part of the wine comes from grapes from the top cuvée Côte Levant, a wine that was not made this year due to the small yield.
