Il Marroneto is one of Montalcino's most admired small producers, owned by Alessandro Mori. On only 6 hectares of the famous north-western slopes of the Brunello appellation, at an altitude of 400 to 480 meters, he produces wines of exceptional finesse and terroir expression. Traditional winemaking: long maceration in large Slavonian oak botti, no additives. The Brunello di Montalcino is one of the most sought-after 'artisan Brunellos' in the world and is on the waiting lists of the best restaurants.

Description: Garnet red with garnet reflections. Deep and complex, with aromas of faded roses, cherry, licorice, tobacco, clove, and a balsamic touch. Elegant and powerful at the same time, with a fine structure, beautiful acidity, and a monumental, endless finish.

Pairs well with: Florentine bistecca alla Fiorentina, wild boar, truffle, braised lamb neck, or aged hard cheeses.

Fun fact: Alessandro Mori was not a winemaker by origin — he studied literature and only started making wine in adulthood. Today, Il Marroneto is considered among the absolute elite of Montalcino by Gambero Rosso and Wine Advocate.
