Jules Desjourneys is the project of Fabien Duperray, a winemaker who, after a career as a top sommelier for Burgundian powerhouses, changed course and started his own domain in Beaujolais. Le Songe ('The Dream') is his most personal wine: a Pinot Noir classified as Vin de France, with which he transcends the boundaries of Beaujolais and builds a bridge to Burgundy. With the biodynamic precision that characterizes his brand and long aging in concrete or glass, Duperray strives for transparency and purity in every bottle.
Description: Bright ruby red with aromas of red cherry, raspberry, rose petals, and a soft, spicy Pinot touch. Elegant and finely structured on the palate, with soft tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, dreamy finish.
Pairs well with: Duck with red fruits, a classic coq au vin, game, or refined mushroom dishes.
Fun fact: The name Songe refers to Arthur Rimbaud's poem on the label: J'ai laissé des songes partout où j'ai traîné ma vie - a nod to the dreamy, boundless ambition of this wine.
