Jules Desjourneys 'Pouilly-Fuissé 2022 (white)'

Jules Desjourneys is the wine project of Fabien Duperray, a top wine merchant and winemaker who, after years of working with the greats of Burgundy, started his own domain in 2007. His white wines — made together with Christophe Thibert on 10 hectares of Chardonnay in the Mâconnais — rival the absolute best of the region. The Pouilly-Fuissé is the domain's classic cuvée: Chardonnay from limestone soils in the five communes of the appellation, aged for a long time on the fine lees in top-quality barriques, without stirring.

Description: Golden yellow, deep and complex, with aromas of white flowers, ripe apple, toasted hazelnut, and a beautiful smoky minerality. Broad on the palate, with a perfect balance between ripeness and fresh acidity, and a long, elegant finish.

Pairs well with: Grilled river fish, creamy mushroom pasta, veal tenderloin, or refined veggie dishes with truffle oil.
