Since taking over his family's estate in Mouzillon – one of the nine recently defined Cru Communaux in Muscadet Sèvre et Maine – Jean-Baptiste has introduced a quality-oriented, organic approach to his 4 hectares of Melon de Bourgogne vineyards planted in the 1950s and 60s.
Description: Lively, full-bodied, slightly smoky and silky, honey and ginger.
Pairs well with: Shellfish, chicken, soft cheeses.
Fun fact: Hand-harvested and gently pressed, his wines are vinified on the lees in traditional glass-lined underground tanks before being bottled without fining or filtration.
