Elisabetta Foradori, the 'grande dame' of Italian 'vino naturali', has elevated her family winery in the Italian Dolomites to great heights. She and her late husband, Rainer Zierock, 'saved' the red Teroldego grape from extinction. In her Granato vineyard, we still find ancient clones of this exciting red grape. Around 2013, her sons Theo and Emilio joined the company, and in 2018, she stepped back, allowing the new generation to take the reins. From the 2016 vintage onwards, you can taste Emilio's influence as a winemaker.
Description: Perfect summery red wine, pure, juicy, berries, cassis, good aromatic and soft in taste.
Pairs well with: BBQ, raw meat, salads with chicken.
Fun fact: After 35 years of hard work, Elisabetta is embarking on a new project: she will be making cheese from the milk of her own eight cows.
