Domaine Lagille is a small family estate in Champagne, located in Vrigny in the Montagne de Reims. Thibaut Lagille works biodynamically on his 6 hectares and produces only a few hundred bottles per cuvée. L'Inattendue Brut is a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from multiple vintages, aged on lees for 36 months and disgorged without dosage. In the 0.375L format, it is the perfect introduction to the expressive, terroir-driven style of a true small grower Champagne.
Description: Pale gold with fine bubbles. Complex and deep, with aromas of ripe apple, toasted bread, hazelnut, and a delicate minerality from the chalk soil. Broad on the palate, dry, with a creamy mousse and a long, refined finish.
Pairs well with: Oysters, sashimi, smoked fish, delicate appetizers, or as an aperitif for a special occasion.
Fun fact: L'Inattendue means 'the unexpected' — a wine that surprises with its depth and complexity for an estate located outside the most famous Champagne villages. Exactly the discovery wine lovers are looking for.
