In Treslon, about twenty kilometers west of Reims in the Marne Valley, lies Vincent Lagille's four-hectare estate. The vineyards form a single block, almost like a clos, and are dominated by the Pinot Meunier grape variety. The vineyards are organically farmed (certified from 2023) and plowed and cultivated with the estate's own horse. Vincent researched the different terroirs within his 'clos'. He learned so much that he decided to divide the clos into several mini 'lieu dits' starting in 2017.
Description: Fine ripeness, crisp finish, light red fruit, lots of energy and body.
Pairs well with: Aperitif with oysters and snacks.
Fun fact: All base wines are first fermented for ten months in oak with minimal sulfites. They are then bottled during tirage for the sur latte period. After disgorging, the wines mature for another 6 months with the natural cork before leaving the estate.
