Treslon, about twenty kilometres west of Reims in the Marne Valley, is home to Vincent Lagille's four-hectare estate. The vineyards are all in one piece, resembling a clos, and are dominated by the Pinot Meunier grape variety. The vineyards are organically farmed (certified from 2023), and ploughed and cultivated with his own horse. Vincent researched the different terroirs in his 'clos'. He learned so much from this that he decided to divide the clos into several mini 'lieu dits' from 2017 onwards.
Description: Riper style, classic, toast (brioche), roasted nuts.
Pairs well with: Aperitif with snacks.
Fun fact: The soil is pure argillo-calcaire, which greatly contributes to the quality. He is a fan of monocépages in general; only the Grande Reserve is a blend of grape varieties.
