Domaine Jamet has been located in the heart of the Côte Rôtie hills since 1974. The vineyards are situated on a plateau known as 'Le Vallin', with a fantastic view of Mont Blanc and the Alps. The estate is run with great passion by Jean-Paul, his wife Corinne and their eldest son Loïc. The grapevines grow on steep slopes and terraces, commonly referred to as 'chayets', and develop on a subsoil consisting mainly of slate and to a lesser extent granite.
Description: Mineral, smoky, dark fruit, cherries, licorice, spicy black pepper but also juicy.
Fun fact: Jamet makes Côte-Rôtie in a classic style where the fresh, ripe Syrah fruit emphasizes finesse and elegance. Aging takes place for 16 months in used oak barrels.
