Domaine Guiberteau is a family winery that dates back to 1934 and is currently run by Romain Guiberteau, who is the fourth generation of the family and spearheaded the transition to organic farming, partly on the advice of the Foucault brothers of Clos Rougeard. The domain consists of 17 hectares of vineyards with vines ranging from 5 to 80 years old, where only Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc varieties are grown.
Description: Yellow fruit, mineral and a slight bitterness, matured in old wood, but is elegant and fresh-tight.
Goes well with: Various types of baked fish or grilled vegetables such as bimi, zucchini and green asparagus.
Fun fact: The grapes are harvested by hand and fermentation takes place using natural yeasts.
