Domaine Felettig is a family business in Chambolle-Musigny founded by Henri Felettig in 1974 and now run by his children Gilbert (vineyard and cellar) and Christine (commercial). From humble beginnings, the domain grew to 13 hectares with plots from Gevrey-Chambertin to Beaune, including premier crus and the Grand Cru Echézeaux. Organically grown, hand-picked, exclusively native yeasts. The Hautes Côtes de Beaune Blanc En Vallerot is 100% Chardonnay from a plot in Magny-lès-Villers on calcareous marl soils. Only 3,600 bottles per year.
Description: Bright golden yellow with aromas of citrus blossom, pear, white peach and a delicate minerality. Fresh and energetic on the palate, with an elegant texture and a long, mineral finish.
Pairs well with: Grilled fish, creamy mushroom pasta, white asparagus or soft goat cheese.
Fun fact: Winemaker Christophe Roumier of the legendary Domaine Georges Roumier claims that Gilbert Felettig makes some of the finest Chambolle-Musigny wines in the region. Entering the absolute top through a side door.
