The modern-classic success story of the graduate son who persuades his father to leave the cooperative to start making his own wine. When you walk through his vineyards with Laurent, you can just see it. Those aren't grapes hanging there. They are fruits. With his first harvest in 1990, he was directly promoted to the premier league of the northern Rhône. He scored high at Gault/Millau's Syrah Olympiad and was the discovery of the Revue de Vin de France.

Fun fact: In 1989, Laurent Combier debuted with a vineyard that had been organically maintained for twenty years. Perfectly healthy Syrah vines - with low yields - never abused by artificial fertilizer, insecticide or harvesting machine.
