The fame of the jovial, talkative yet incredibly serious and ambitious Bernard Fleuriet et fils family in the rural Menetou-Ratel, 8km from Sancerre, is growing rapidly. The vineyards (35 ha) have been organic since 2015, and biodynamic (DEMETER) certified from the 2021 harvest onwards. The youngest, Mathieu (1982), is the winemaker, and he has at his disposal an impressive winery and cellar with small wooden barrels, truncated vats, concrete tanks, and amphorae.
Description: Subtle, juicy, clean, mineral, and light.
Pairs well with: Lighter dishes, or simply enjoyable on its own.
Fun fact: In addition to an impressive series of Sancerres and Menetou-Salon, they now also offer this entry-level white made from purchased organic Sauvignon.
