The jovial, talkative, yet ever-so-serious and ambitious Bernard Fleuriet et fils family in rural Menetou-Ratel, 8km from Sancerre, is rapidly gaining fame. Their vineyards (35 ha) have been organic since 2015, and Demeter certified biodynamic from the 2021 harvest onwards. The youngest son, Mathieu (born 1982), is the winemaker and has an impressive winery and cellar at his disposal, featuring small wooden barrels, truncated vats, concrete tanks, and amphorae.
