De Fermo is the story of Stefano and his wife Eloisa. Before their winemaking adventure began, both worked in the legal world in Bologna. Eloisa's family owns a vineyard in Abruzzo, and in 2007, they visited it together. Stefano immediately fell in love with the place and decided to start making wine there. Initially, he only used a small part of the vineyards, but in 2009, Eloisa and Stefano took over the entire business and immediately began converting to biodynamics. Now, the vineyards are organically and biodynamically certified.
Description: Notes of ripe citrus, peach, and mint, very exciting, light color, excellent expression
Pairs well with: Fresh salads with, for example, watermelon, feta, onion, and mint, or pan-fried shellfish.
Fun fact: Stefano later discovered a more than 200-year-old cellar buried under the old house. He excavated and restored it, and since 2010, the wines have been made there.
