Château Terrey Gros Cailloux is a small, fine Cru Bourgeois in Saint Julien, with 14 hectares of vines in individual plots close to Léoville Barton and Talbot, and Gruaud Larose.
St.Julien is one of the six famous communes (along with Listrac-Médoc, Margaux, Moulis, Pauillac, and Saint-Estèphe) within the French Haut-Médoc region that are appellations in their own right and are permitted to feature the place name on the label. The tannic and long-lived red wines are stylistically between those of Margaux (finesse) and Pauillac (power); they are characterized by a uniformly high quality across the entire range.

Description: Powerful, cassis, cedar wood, black fruit, and full-bodied.

Pairs well with: Côte de Boeuf, ribeye, pork belly.

Fun fact: This estate, classified as Cru Bourgeois, is known for producing wines that perfectly express the unique character of Saint-Julien.
