Château Lastours dates from the 18th century and is run by the de Faramond family. Young Louis is already the third generation of the old landed gentry family de Faramond. The Gaillac region is located in Southwest France, 50km northeast of Toulouse. The vineyards, mostly on poor gravel soil, are situated in the hills around the town of Gaillac and on the banks of the Tarn. The climate combines Atlantic and Mediterranean influences.
Description: Lightly floral, white fruit, spicy, soft, fresh and juicy.
Pairs well with: Since day one at Zoldering as the house wine on the menu, great as an aperitif with light snacks.
Fun fact: The castle and its grounds have existed since 1579. Jean de Faramond replanted the vineyards in 1958.
