Château La Fleur Petrus ' Pomerol 2014 '

This winery is one of the better producers in Pomerol, known for its elegant and supple wines. Although the estate was already mentioned in the 13th century, the name "La Fleur-Pétrus" is derived from two well-known nearby chateaus: Château Petrus and Château Lafleur. The Château la Fleur-Petrus estate is owned by Jean-Pierre Moueix, a family business established in 1937 and spanning generations. Jean-Pierre Moueix purchased Château la Fleur-Petrus in 1950 as his very first vineyard, followed by Trotanoy in Pomerol and Castles Magdelaine in Saint-Émilion. But one of Jean-Pierre Moueix's most memorable achievements was the acquisition of Château Petrus, which was the pinnacle of his career.

Fun fact: The Château la Fleur-Petrus vineyard covers an area of 18.7 hectares, featuring 91% Merlot vines, 6% Cabernet Franc, and a small percentage of 3% Petit Verdot.
