Much has been said about the story of a young man from Oregon who, working abroad in Paris, caught the wine bug and settled in Saumur, with some of the biggest producers becoming his best friends and colleagues. Today, Brendan continues to work for Romain Guiberteau at Domaine Guiberteau, where he is pretty much Romain's right-hand man. The passion for zesty, salty, elegant, and pure Chenin Blanc continues to drive Brendan and led to the production of his own wines: Stater-West. These are beautiful wines that are pure and transparent. They are modest and complex.
Description: Elegant, pure, great structure, 12 months oak aging, mineral, smooth, and notes of honey.
Pairs well with: BBQ pointed cabbage, pan-fried red mullet, a wine to be enjoyed with good company.
Fun fact: Brendan used to be an English teacher in Paris.
