Near the small train station of Ferrão, in the Cima Corgo, the heart of the Douro Valley, Quinta do Bom Dia is located high on the slopes. The building dates back to 1640 and port has been made here since 1846. Not much has changed since then: the view of the vineyards and the river is still just as expansive, yields are still low, and the grapes are hand-picked and then trodden by foot in traditional granite lagares.
Description: Matured red port, at least 7 years old, aged in oak, red fruit, drier than Ruby.
Pairs well with: Cheese, chocolate with red fruit.
Fun fact: For blending their ports, they have access to a magnificent private collection of old ports. Bom Dia ports are characterized by their elegant vibrancy and ripe, sun-drenched fruit.
