Born and raised in Burgundy in 1975, and a scion of a family of florists, it's fair to say that Benjamin Leroux inherited a green thumb from birth. Although he does not come from a winemaking family, he developed a passion for wine and viticulture at a young age. At 13, he enrolled at the agricultural school in Beaune and took his first viticulture lessons there. He then went to Dijon to obtain his enology diploma. During his internships for the program, he worked for the first time as a young novice at Domaine du Comte Armand under director Pascal Marchand.
Description: Elegant, full-bodied and beautifully rounded, rich but not too intense, with some freshness.
Pairs well with: Shellfish such as lobster and langoustines, sole.
Fun fact: Although it was still common in the early 90s to have a vineyard without vegetation or cover crops and to use pesticides and artificial fertilizers, Pascal had already started organic viticulture early on.
