Thymiopoulos is a leading winery in Trilofos, near Naoussa in Northern Greece. The family business is run by Apostolos Thymiopoulos, who has been producing his own wines from family vineyards since the early 2000s. The focus is on the indigenous Xinomavro grape, the pride of the region. The vineyards are located on the slopes of the Vermio mountains, on calcareous soils and at altitudes of over 400 meters. The estate works organically and according to biodynamic principles, with great respect for nature and terroir. In the cellar, they opt for minimal intervention, wild yeasts and a restrained use of sulfur. The wines are known for their elegance, fresh acidity and impressive aging potential. Thymiopoulos is today considered one of the most important ambassadors of modern Greek quality wine.
