Born in Madrid, with a great love for Spain, its nature, and wines from a young age. Alberto is a wine all-rounder: a winegrower, wine producer, and historian. His great strength is preserving the past in today's vineyards. He has also invested a large part of his life in discovering new terroirs, reviving old grape varieties, and planting lost grape varieties that would otherwise never have seen the light of day. Everything revolves around low yields and a natural approach. In the cellar, he works with extreme precision and neatness. His goal is to make wines with complexity, balance, and elegance.
Description: Citrus, green and yellow apple, lime, stone fruit, salty, slightly floral, fresh, elegant.
Pairs well with: Shellfish, grilled squid, ceviche, essentially many seafood dishes.
Fun fact: A tribute to the artisan grape growers and tile makers of Northern Portugal. A classic example of Alvarinho, a farm-to-table type of wine. The label shows the rich tradition of local craftsmanship, such as the hand-painted 'azulejos' (tiles) often seen in and on buildings in the region.
